Clear Waters: Sustainability, Transparency, and Community
Director and Editor
Clear Waters: Sustainability, Transparency, and Community is a story about how a company and its founder can lead by example to help influence change in the seafood industry. Alan Lovewell, the founder and CEO of Real Good Fish, a seafood CSA in the San Francisco Bay Area, talks about best practices for fishermen, distributors, and consumers when it comes to sustainability and transparency in the seafood industry.
Alan’s company supports local fishermen by investing in his community and partnering with these fishermen to provide sustainably harvested quality seafood. In doing so, he educates consumers on best practices to help evolve the way they think about seafood. Alan is also a fisherman, so we go on the boat with him as he harvests fish off the Big Sur coast.
The film was selected to be viewed at the Richmond International Film Festival and the Sonoma International Film Festival.
